Joe Cocker

Joe Cocker, OBE, born as John Robert Cocker, was an English singer and musician. He was known for his gritty voice, spasmodic body movement in performance and definitive versions of popular songs of varying genre.

Even for decades after he thrilled the throngs at Woodstock, Joe Cocker remained one of rock’s pre-eminent survivors, recording and touring prolifically and maintaining a loyal worldwide fan base until his death.
