The power of music never ceases to amaze, and that experience is enhanced when two of the finest voices in Australia are singing for you. Vika & Linda Bull have comprised one of the most distinctive, versatile, and emotionally charged vocal sounds on the Australian music landscape since their multi-platinum conquest of pop radio with The Black Sorrows in the late 1980s. Since that time, the sisters have forged diverse pathways into soul, gospel, rock, country, and the island music of their Tongan ancestry.
After many years as kickass backing vocalists the two women became trailblazing recording Artists both as a duo and as soloists and have performed live shows all over the world, including for the late Nelson Mandela, the King of Tonga and many others.
On stage and in the studio, they continue to seek diverse and exciting challenges. Vika has taken the lead in “At Last: The Etta James Story” which saw its world premiere in Melbourne in 2013 and since then has toured Australia, New Zealand and the UK. In 2018 Linda introduced her sparkling new show with guest Sime Nugent “Stardust: The Songs Of Willie Nelson”.
And only last year Vika & Linda created their very own theatrical production titled ‘Between Two Shores’, telling their unique story by blending narratives from their own lives and career through an evocative, moving selection of songs and stories. Premiering at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival mid-2019, and followed by a sell-out season at Arts Centre Melbourne, ‘Between Two Shores’ played to full houses and resoundingly positive reviews.
