TWO NEW REMIXES
SYDNEY & MELBOURNE SHOWS SELLING FAST!
To celebrate I’m Talking’s
rebirth as a band in 2019, what better way to mark the occasion than with
band-produced remixes of a couple of their early tracks, alongside headline
shows in both Sydney and Melbourne.
Never ones to choose the easy well-worn path, the band chose to create a laid back and funky re-imagination of some of their career defining ballads. ‘It’s Over’ featuring Zan Abeyratne and ‘Cry Me A River’ featuring Kate Ceberano, show both sides of I’m Talking’s twin vocal attack in brand new settings.
The remixes were produced by the band’s guitarist Robert Goodge, in collaboration with ARIA Award-winning engineer Simon Polinski, a team that worked on seminal remixes such as ‘Treaty’ by Yothu Yindi and ‘Your Eyes’ & ‘Losin’ It’ by Underground Lovers. They were mixed and mastered from the original 80’s multitrack recordings at iconic Melbourne studio Sing Sing through their vintage Neve console, onto ½ inch analogue tape. They provide the perfect way for the 80’s to transition into tomorrow.
And to add some extra flame to this fire, I’m Talking are back again for two very special club shows this month. Their incredible February come back shows, which saw the band receive rave reviews, renewed their sense of camaraderie and reignite their spark, and I’m Talking cannot wait to hit the stage again.
