NEW ALBUM BLACK AND BLUE HEART DEBUTS AT #12 ON THE ARIA CHART
+ #3 ON THE AUSTRALIAN ARTISTS
ALBUM CHART
+ BLACK AND BLUE HEART TOUR KICKS OFF NEXT WEEK
Russell
Morris’ new album Black And Blue Heart has
debuted at #12 on the ARIA Album chart, and #3 on the Australian Artists Album
chart.
Notwithstanding a couple of top 10s for two of his blues album releases in
recent years, Russell Morris has just scored his highest debut chart position
for a rock album since his first long play Bloodstone
in 1971.
The 70 year old bona fide rock legend, who performs almost 100 shows a year and
has just done a lap of the map promoting the new album, is busier than he’s
been in decades – in support of Black
And Blue Heart, Russell will be on the road throughout 2019.
Fans of great Australian music should take particular note that following a
coveted spot at Byron Bay Bluesfest this Easter, Russell will treat audiences
to some very special headline shows, supported by Bloodlines label-mate Ash
Grunwald.
