The wait is almost over for Vika & Linda fans, with the universally adored sisters ready to release their highly anticipated new album The Wait this Friday 17 September.

This week Vika & Linda gave fans a bonus taste of the forthcoming album as they shared the track ‘Lover Don’t Keep Me Waiting’ – listen here. Written by Chris Cheney, ‘Lover Don’t Keep Me Waiting’ shows a fast and fun side to Vika & Linda.
The Wait is the first new original studio album from Vika & Linda since 2002. Produced by Steven Schram and Cameron Bruce, the album includes songs from some of the best writers in Australia: Don Walker, Glenn Richards, Chris Cheney, Bernard Fanning, Kasey Chambers & Brandon Dodd, Ben Salter, Paul Kelly, Neil Murray & Matt Walker, Mick Thomas & Jemma Rowlands, and emerging talent Eva Seymour.
The Wait is available to pre-order as a limited edition deluxe CD, which includes an exclusive bonus disc of live songs recorded in March at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl. The album will also be available on limited edition clear vinyl, or as a standard CD. Copies of the deluxe CD and the vinyl are strictly limited edition, with only a small quantity of each being made. The Wait follows a triumphant 2020 for Vika & Linda, which saw them score their first number one album when their career anthology, ‘Akilotoa, entered the ARIA charts at number one – the first ever number one album by an Australian female duo. Three months later, their gospel collection, Sunday (The Gospel According To Iso), debuted at number two.
